Pre-approval

It’s time to celebrate! If you’ve received a pre-approval it means the bank has confirmed they are happy to offer you a mortgage loan. Your pre-approval letter will state all the terms of the mortgage loan the bank is willing to offer you. Make sure you read this document carefully and check all the information is correct including bank information, rates, and amounts. If you have any doubts let us know.

  • Where to find your pre-approval letter

We’ll send you your pre-approval letter via email and it will also be downloadable from the Huspy Portal.

  • What happens if your pre-approval is rejected

Unfortunately, this happens from time to time but it does not mean that you are not eligible for a mortgage with a different bank. Our team will reach out to you to discuss the best ways forward for your specific case.

  • How long does a pre-approval last?

Included in the pre-approval letter and the email sent by Huspy is the expiration date of the pre-approval. The timeframe will vary but is normally between 30-90 days. If you do not complete your property purchase within this time you will have to reapply for the pre-approval. Depending on the bank you may be charged a fee for reapplying for a pre-approval.

From this point on you’ll work with your dedicated mortgage specialist to finalize your mortgage.
